Evan M. Meisler*

Associate

Evan’s practice focuses on briefing complex issues at all levels of the federal judiciary.  He has experience working on a wide range of legal issues, including constitutional law, administrative law, criminal law, contracts,  class actions, federal arbitration law, and the Freedom of Information Act.

Evan earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the New York University School of Law, where he was named a Florence Allen Scholar, elected to the Order of the Coif, and awarded the Vanderbilt Medal for “outstanding contributions to the School of Law.”  During law school, Evan served as an Articles and Quantitative Editor for the New York University Law Review, was a semifinalist in the Marden Moot Court Competition, and worked as a research and/or teaching assistant to four of his professors.  Prior to joining Clement & Murphy, Evan clerked for Judge Royce C. Lamberth of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

In his free time, Evan sings and plays guitar in a local band and trains for rowing competitions.  His Note about legislative displacement of federal common law is forthcoming in the New York University Law Review.
