Nick’s practice focuses on Supreme Court and appellate advocacy and critical motions work.  Nick helped draft successful merits briefs, petitions for certiorari, and amicus brief in the Supreme Court, including in New York State Rifle & Pistol Ass’n v. Bruen, ___ S. Ct. ___ (2022).

Nick has drafted appellate briefs and dispositive motions in a variety of substantive areas, including administrative law; bankruptcy; class actions; constitutional law, including the separation of powers and presidential power, the First Amendment, the Second Amendment, the Commerce Clause, due process, and preemption; federal jurisdiction; and products liability.

In addition to his appellate and Supreme Court work, Nicholas has provided representation and strategic advice to corporations, organizations, and individuals appearing before Congress. He also maintains a robust pro bono practice.

Nick served as a law clerk to Judge Danny J. Boggs of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and as law clerk for the Senate Judiciary Committee for the nomination of the Hon. Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court of the United States. He is a graduate of NYU Law School and Oxford University.
